Delhi schools will operate only physical classes from April 1 and Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted from Monday, February 28.

With Covid-19 cases fast on the decline, Delhi will be embracing normal life once more as all Covid-19 restrictions will be lifted from Monday, February 28. Delhi schools will resume working in fully offline mode from April 1.

The decisions were taken by the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) at a meeting on Friday. Restricted timings at markets, restaurants, bars and night curfews will no longer be applicable.

Online classes no more

Delhi schools will not be working in hybrid mode anymore. Online classes will be discontinued and only physical classes will be held from April 1.

Covid-appropriate behaviour to be followed

CM Arvind Kejriwal said that the decision was taken as the pandemic situation has improved and people are facing tough times due to job losses.

He has asked people to follow Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and has said that the “government will keep strict watch”.

However, the fine for not following the same has been reduced to Rs 500 from Rs 2000.
